Welcome to our special feature section on Team Inventor who will be racing a derivative of the Volvo Cross Country in the 2003 Paris Dakar Rally.

I say derivative because this vehicle isn't your normal every day Volvo Cross Country as you can probably guess from taking a look at the photo to the right. Instead, the entire frame has been removed and replaced with mechanics much more adept to the brutal demands of desert rallying. Power will be derived from Volvo's new D5 Common Rail Diesel, and from what Claes tells me, so far they're getting about 200 hp.

We plan on keeping you up to date with everything that's happening with the team leading up to the race, and their progress during the event.
